i am getting followig error while using xp_cmdshell
can anyone help regarding this

If the name is a qualified name, use [] to separate various parts of the name, and try again. [SQLSTATE 01000] (Message 0) An error occurred during the execution of xp_cmdshell. A call to 'CreateProcess' failed with error code: '1455'. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 15121). The step failed.

Did you enable xp_cmdshell in surface area configuration?

xp_cmdshell is used to create directories
following is the code
exec master..xp_cmdshell 'mkdir DirectoryName'
this code was running fine till now
however it is again running fine after I restarted the SQl Server
