Hi All,Can I use a single shared drive to configure 2 cluster of Oracle and SQL server?Let me explain my question a little but.1) I have 2 Servers attached to a SAN box configured on Cluster (Active-Passive). 2) I have installed SQL and Oracle servers on each Server attached to the SAN box.3) Lets say SQL server fails on Server A but Oracle is still working fine on Server A, Will there be a Failover? Thanks in AdvanceSachinDon't sit back because of failure. It will come back to check if you still available. -- Binu

for as far i know stuff about clustering an automatic failover is caused only when there is a problem with your node, not due to a failure in SQL server.Need an SQLDB consultant?check www.veeningsengineering.nl

If you have sql and Oracle share same SAN array, they have to be in same resource group. If either of them caused failover, while group will failover. So you are better to put them on separate SAN arrays and let them owned by different node.
