i have sql server 2005 express
and i cant find the sql server agent that was like in sql server 2000
why is that? where are the jobs?

yeah, as everyone has stated there is no sql agent for SQL Express.

You can use Jasper Smith's expressmaint proc and the task scheduler to get most functionality though. read the following for more info:
