Hello,I wonder which differences there are between Sql Server and Sql Server Compact Edition. In which case to use Compact Edition rather than Normal Edition ?For example, which version is it preferable to use for a database which is just use to persist some informations of a single program ?Thanks,mathmax |

Compact Edition (previously Mobile Edition) is a compact database for embedding in mobile and desktop applications. I prefer express for desktop since it has more features. Standard and enterprise editions are better but they are not free. |

Check out http://www.microsoft.com/sql/editions/compact/sscecomparison.mspx for a paper we wrote to help people decide which engine to use.
