Hello, first, sorry my poor english, i am from Argentina.

Â

I implement Merge Replication on SQL Server 2000 between 3 Server (They are 3 Point that must contain all the same information in Real Time). I saw, that SQL Server 2005, can propagate ALTER TABLES to Suscriptions, so, it 's not necesary to delete de suscription and the publish to do the Alter table, an then, recreate it.

Â

Last week, i start to try to implement the Merge Replication on SQL Server 2005, and, i cant do it. I have two servers with distinct IP, one of them is the DISTRIBUTOR and the PUBLISHER. It is running the publishing under the SQL SERVICE Accoung in Windows 2003 Server.

Â

The two servers, have setting the ALIAS of the another Server. I don't know how the REPLDATA Folfer have to be setting. I have these Folder Shared with TOTAL CONTROL to the user that is running de Publishing (are the same name user in two servers). The publish is success created, but, when i create the suscription, then, the message than can't connect de Publisher, appears with the RED CROSS in the Replication Monitor.

Â

I also try, creating de Publish, then, backup the DB and restore in the suscriber Server, keeping the ROWGUID Column, checking the KEEP REPLICATION parameter at the momento of Restore, but, the same problem, appear.

Â

I have read a lot, and i can solve the problem. I come here, becouse, perhaps, somebody can help me, or have any similar experience.

Â

Thanks.

Â

Juan Pablo
