| Hi all, does anybody know when SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 3 will be released? We are currently encountering a lot of problems with replication. We have seen that the different SP2 Cumulative Updates are fixing a lot of replication troubles... but as they are not fully tested, we do not want to install them on our production servers. Thanks in advance! |

I haven't seen any information on it, I have read that 2008 is targeted for Feb. 27, 2008 so they may not release another SP for 2005. Future guru in the making. |

| "so they may not release another SP for 2005"I doubt the release date for SQL 2008 will have an influence on any further SPs for 2005 ... not yet anyway, and probably not until the "no further service" date is announced for SQL 2005.Kristen |

| 3 Cumulative Updates for SQL Server 2005 SP2 have been published by Microsoft, and the 4th is announced for October. If you take a look at the list of bugs/issues fixed in these different packages, you will be impressed!!! So the SP3 is "somewhere" in the planning... |

"you will be impressed"Hmmm ... so can I read into that that in future I should wait for SP3, rather than just waiting for SP1 as we used to in the old days? |
