| In SQL Server 2005, once in a while, the xp_cmdshell gives thefollowing error."An error occurred during the execution of xp_cmdshell. A call to'CreateProcess' failed with error code: '5'. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error15121). The step failed.".Does Looping has a limitation on the number of times it can call xp_cmdshell.It works good whenever we call it individually. Thanks in AdvanceRKNAIR |

Check you system event log for errors, it could be a drive problem.Error 5 is access denied, 15121 can be an invalid path so either you have a permission issue or the some sort of issue perhaps with a drive becoming unavailable intermittently. Or, possible a bug, can you provide some more detail on what you are calling with the cmdshell? Future guru in the making. |
