| We have an application that makes an many connections to SQL. In some instances, when this application is busy, it doesn't seem to play well and appears to be 'bumping' off other connections from other applications so that it can make a connection. Is this possible? Does this have to do with some sort of priority?BTW, the 'unfriendly' application has many connections that are in a sleep state, which I know is not uncommon, but it seems to not be reusing those connections.As you can tell, I'm not much of a SQL admin, so go easy on me here. Any help would be appreciated.Thanks!! |

| Shouldn't since each sql instance allows 32767 connections, but you may need increase max worker threads. |

| Thanks for the reply. Based on your response, it sounds like it shouldn't need to, but is it still possible, or even probable? There are many apps accessing each of their own DB on this server. |

| How many connections does the server have? If less than 32767, then you have to look at something else. By the way, max worker threads set maximum active connections on the server. |
