| Dear gurus,I have a problem with linked server.I have a sql server 2000 with Sp1 in Windows 2003 Server and I have SQl server 2005 with SP2 in Windows 2003.While making linked server between those two server, i am getting error. After applying catelog procedres (instcat.sql), its working perfect.Without applying instcat.sql I can able to make a linked server With Windows Xp (SQl 2005 )and SQL 2000 (Windows 2003)Can anyone give me the idea about this one..?Note: All are Physical box not a virtual machine.Thankskrishna |
