You are doing things incorrectly if you think that you provide username/pwd in your config file with a trusted/windows authentication. Check out http://www.connectionstrings.com/?carrier=sqlserver for how to correctly setup your connection string.Tara KizerMicrosoft MVP for Windows Server System - SQL Serverhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/

I've shown you how to do it by providing a link!!! What part isn't clear in the link? This has nothing to do with EM or QA. It is a connection string problem.Tara KizerMicrosoft MVP for Windows Server System - SQL Serverhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/

Ok sorry I am confused. If I simply put "Driver={SQL Server};Server=myServerAddress;Database=myDataBase;Trusted_Connection=Yes;" for my connection string, that will automatically give me access to the server? Where is the authentication being preformend?

It uses the current security context. So if this is via service, it will use the service credentials. If this is a thick client application, it will use the person logged into Windows. ...Tara KizerMicrosoft MVP for Windows Server System - SQL Serverhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/
