Can we install SQL Server 2005 on MS Windows Vista Home Edition???

It depends on which edition of SQL Server 2005 you are going to install.

I am trying to install SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition. But it is not installing the database engine. only client component are available.

If you would have taken efforts to visit the link I provided, you could have seen that Standard Edition can not be installed on either Vista home basic or home premium edition.
