Have people installed SP2 on SQL2k5 . Any problems / issues with that especially wrt failover clustering .

We've had it running for a few months now on our 4-node active/active/active/active cluster. I'd highly recommend installing build 3186 right after SP2 since SP2 contains bugs. MS is about to release build 3200 (or perhaps they just did), so you might just want to wait for that.

build 3200 is available but you need to contact PSS to get the hotfix sent to you.

Would u recommend applying new available builds as and when available . e.g. Build 09.00.3215 (cumulative update) is available now after SP 2 .

What are the experiences of people applying patches immediately or applying patches when needed .
