| Hi all is any one aware what this error means. one of my server restart every now and then(application issue). when server restart following message appears for SQL Agent not in error log.what is the reason behindMessage[425] delay_between_response attribute (10 sec) of alert (9) is less than poll interval for this alert (20 sec) |

| Seems you have alert with delay_between_response set to 10 seconds and poll interval set to 20 seconds. The DelayBetweenResponses property represents the number of seconds SQL Server Agent waits before it generates another response for an alert. |

| I'm getting the same messages this morning. It happened after I restored MSDB using a backup from another server. In your case did you restore MSDB from another instance?Dave |
