I have setup a box as a SQL 2005 Express Server. It accepts remote connections and has the users/permissions setup. Both TCP/IP and Named Pipes are enabled. When connecting to the server with MS SQL Server management Studio Express from another machine, on the same network, I have to try and login several times before it connects OK.Can anyone suggest how to increase connection reliability please? |

Is there a limit on the number of remote connections? Would there be a high volume of traffic, where a limited number of connections would hinder your access? Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part. |

Not at all. The current setup is the server and just me on another machine doing the development work. |
