| i have a table called imagesit has over 200,00 rows - i need to add 2 new fields and could not do it.i created a new table and moved over the records but i can't delete or truncate or rename the table eitherEXEC sp_rename 'images', 'imagesold' is just taking foreverplease advise |

| solved this...i restarted sql server and then ran it - my guess it that someone was connected. |

| Check with 'sp_who2 active' while rename is running, maybe blocked by other processes. |
