hi,
I'm a DBA, recently encounter one weird case.
I received an alert on distribution log file running out of space. Everytime, i increase the log file size, it reset back to in original one after several hours. Does anyone know what is going on?

Apprecaited if anyone can answer this.

Thank You.

Did you check recovery mode and db options? Can find them in db properties -> option tab.

when u say the file resets size to original, do u mean what sysfiles SSMS is showing you, or the physical size on disk? how often are u backing up distribution db? is it in simple or full recovery mode?

russell,
I checked it by executing "DBCC SQLPERF(LOGSPACE)" command.
I found no backup job running on distribution database.
