Is there anyway to display a number separated by commas.
Say for example :

a=500000

This should be displayed as 5,00,000

Where do you want to display result of it i.e. what application (platform) you are working on?

do this in your front end application

use money data type

declare @a money

select @a = 50000

select convert(varchar(10), @a, 1)
