What would happen if I dropped the distribution db? I'm having problems configuring distribution and after searching, I found someone that claims they solved the same problem by dropping the distribution db. The resolution is the last post on this thread: http://www.ureader.com/msg/11563430.aspxIs this safe to do? There are currently no publications and the distribution server is not configured. Thanks

You should remove replication completely instead then reconfigure it.

I would like to, however there is no replication active. And both the Distribution and Publication dialogs fail to load (i.e. I right click on the node and select "Configure Distribution" or "New Publication" and an hour glass appears, but nothing happens). |

Distribution database only appears if you have replication configured. If you have replication and wish to remove this thenMake sure you stop the subscribers, remove subsribers then remove publications then disable publication from database, this should then delete distribution db for you.

Try to remove Publishing and the distribution database first by going to the replication folder.Chris Shawwww.SQLonCall.com
