Hello,I am trying to find software for configuring a secure connection between two SQL servers over the internet for our application that runs sql statements between two databases.Mabey some sort of SSH software that is desinged for this? I have attempted to use VPN however this is not for a network, just 2 servers, no domain controller or DHCP server is available, they are connected directly to the internet.Any ideas would be appreciated.

I know how to use SSL with Internet Information Services to secure a web application. Never heard of using it with SQL.

It looks like that requires an SSL certificate. The problem I am running into now is that there is no way to generate a request for one. GoDaddy SSL department was baffled at the idea.
