Hi,
I need to write a stored procedure to take the backup of a particular database. The backup file name must be included with the date and time(ex: work_fb_01312008_21:11.bak).

I got some errors at the time of execution

Msg 3201, Level 16, State 1, Procedure fbackup, Line 11
Cannot open backup device 'D:\backup\Work_fb_20080201_00:10:35:090.bak'. Operating system error 123(The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.).
Msg 3013, Level 16, State 1, Procedure fbackup, Line 11
BACKUP DATABASE is terminating abnormally.

This is a OS constraint.

You can't create filename with colon ':' in it. Remove it from the backup file name.
