| Iam trying to restore Transaction Log backup, for thisI took Full backup, Differential backup & Transactional Log backupthen I tried to restore by process as...restore recent Fullbackup with norecovery, restore recent Differential with norecovery, restore Transaction Log backup with recoveryis that correct? if not tell me the ordersequenceIam trying this but when executing the program Iam getting the error like my Database(DB) is inconsistant......... with this error msg.Msg 4330, Level 16, State 1, Line 1This backup set cannot be applied because it is on a recovery path that is inconsistent with the database. The recovery path is the sequence of data and log backups that have brought the database to a particular recovery point. Find a compatible backup to restore, or restore the rest of the database to match a recovery point within this backup set, which will restore the database to a different point in time. For more information about recovery paths, see SQL Server Books Online.Msg 3013, Level 16, State 1, Line 1RESTORE DATABASE is terminating abnormally.I understood that the problem is while restoring my Transactional log backup the DB is still showing in restoring...process...I have to come out of the procedure and restore the fullBackup with norecovery & recent full logbackup with recovery to come out of that (restore processing...)pls sugest me the order while taking the backup and while restoring.thanx for any help |

| Did you only do the most recent T-Log backup? If there were multiple T-Logs it should look like this.restore recent Fullbackup with norecovery, restore recent Differential with norecovery, restore Transaction Log backup with norecovery, restore Transaction Log backup with norecovery, restore Transaction Log backup with recoveryChris Shawwww.SQLonCall.com |
