| How can I change the collation of a db from Latin1_General_CI_AS to SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS???? Is this possibleI am trying to map tables from 2 db... I am having error becoz of the collation.. |

Try this:Alter Database Db-name Collate SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_ASGO But note that changing collation will have effect only on new tables created in the database, existing tables will continue to have same collation as earlier.Harsh AthalyeIndia."The IMPOSSIBLE is often UNTRIED" |

| No, this does not work... I have read a bit on collation.. It is said that when a db collation is altered.. the old tables in the db have the same collation as before. it is only for new table created that the new collation will be set |
