| Say you have a database that had a process run for 2 days in a transaction until if filled the disk. The error causes a rollback (presumable another 2 days). I want to restore from a backup instead of waiting for the rollback to complete. Please to be telling me how to?Jayto here knows when |

| I guess you have already tried something like this:alter database MyDB set offline with rollback immediateand the roll back continued?You could try stopping SQL Server, deleting the database files for the database you are going to restore, and restating SQL Server. The database should be in supect mode when you restart, so you could then drop it.Edit: I hope your database backup is good. The ususal "do this at your own risk" disclaimers apply. | Or you can start sql with option to skip db recovery. |
