I want to search this forum for articles but I don't know what it's called that I'm looking for.

What do you call it when you want to join fields in different records in one record.

Example the table below, tbl1, has 6 records, 3 columns,

ID | Word | SEQ
2 MY 2
3 JUMBLE 1
4 TYPING 2
5 HAIRY 3
6 STINKS 2
7 POKER 1

I would like to create a query that gives my
MY TYPING STINKS

What is it called that I am trying to do? I thought it was collate but from the first couple of forums i looked at it wasn't, or is it?

Well I did it as a function. And so far so good. I still need to test my result set but it looks right. Thanks again.
