By, system database are installed in C: drive and it is Production Server now. Is there a way to move system database to D: drive without affecting Server?

Tara,

How much risk is involved while moving system database? I see this very risky.

I've done it several times and haven't had any issues. There is risk involved, but you can mitigate it by taking full backups of everything once you start. Don't let anyone on your system until you are done and everything has been tested that way if there is a problem you can simply restore from your backups and know you are back to how it was.
