I think that this field is useful, but why not add a "Date" type without the time as well? Or do they have such a thing? |

Yes they have. And six more types of date datatypes. E 12°55'05.25"N 56°04'39.16" |

what kind of benefits is there to using this date type over the other one?You said index seek, what does a regular datetime column do when indexed and used in a where clause? |
