| Hi, I am new to SQL. I am trying to set a foreign key relationship within the same table, but when I drag the relationship to the same table I get the error, "The ALTER TABLE statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY SAME TABLE constraint." What would be the cause of this?Thanks. |

Thanks for the reply. Meanwhile, I solved my own problem, yay.  Apparently, I had already entered a row with a value for the foreign key that didn't match any others so when I tried to connect it afterwards, it wouldn't let me.  |
